A superb, richly printed proof impression of the definitive state, apart from the edition of 75, annotated "H.C." (hors commerce - "not for sale") in pencil lower left. This is one of the small number of proofs that were printed above and beyond the numbered edition of 75, that were reserved for the artist and his collaborators. Published by Maeght Editeur, Paris; printed by Arte Adrien Maeght, Paris.
